A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Lord Chief Justice has, with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, issued Rachel Basi JP of the Northamptonshire bench with a formal warning for failing to meet the minimum sittings requirement of her appointment. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration Mrs Basi’s previously unblemished record of service as a magistrate.
