JCIO 33/21
Date: 20 December 2021
A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Lord Chief Justice, with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, have issued District Judge Philip Dixon with formal advice following the investigation of a complaint that he had not issued a judgment until seven months after hearing a case. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration that the judge’s ill-health had played a significant part in the delay and that he had apologised to the parties.
