STATEMENT FROM THE JUDICIAL CONDUCT

Tribunal Judge Jonathan Leach

 

A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:

The Senior President of Tribunals, on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, has issued Judge Jonathan Leach (Social Entitlement Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal) with formal advice. Judge Leach received five penalty points and a fine for a speeding offence, taking the total points on his licence to eight. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration that the judge had reported the matter promptly and accepted responsibility for his actions.
