You will need to provide:

  1. The name of the judicial office holder you wish to complain about;
  2. The date of the incident you are complaining about and where it took place (i.e. name of the court or provide your court case number, where applicable); and
  3. Detail about the nature of your complaint (i.e. what the judge said or did to make you think their actions amount to misconduct).

It is important to be specific.  We cannot consider generalised complaints – we need specific details of exactly what a judge has said or done that you wish to complain about.

Please note that any information which has been sent to the general.enquiries@judicialconduct.gov.uk mailbox will not be considered as part of your complaint. Please ensure that all information is sent via the portal.
