A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb DBE, with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, has issued Steven Vale JP of the North East Wales Bench with a formal warning for failing to notify his bench chair of legal proceedings involving a member of his family and attempting to use his position as a magistrate to gain information about the case.
