A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb DBE, on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice, and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, has issued Mrs Louise Cook JP, of the Northamptonshire Bench, with a formal warning after she made an ill-judged remark online, which risked undermining her credibility and standing as a judicial officeholder. In making their decision, they took into consideration that Mrs Cook had apologised for her actions and had taken remedial steps.
