A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Senior President of Tribunals, on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, has issued Yasreeb Zahed (Fee paid Judge in First Tier Tribunal Immigration & Asylum Chamber), with a formal warning for failing to uphold the basic judicial principle of impartiality with behaviour during a hearing, including conversations with counsel in the absence of the other party, which amounted to bias or the appearance of bias. The hearing did not proceed for unrelated technical reasons.
