JCIO 09/21
Date: 29 March 2021
A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Lord Chief Justice and Lord Chancellor have given formal advice to Sandeep Kainth (a Recorder and fee paid Tribunal Judge) for misconduct after he failed to inform his senior judge about his personal involvement in civil legal proceedings, as required by the Guide to Judicial Conduct. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration that Judge Kainth accepted responsibility for his actions, which was an oversight, not deliberate, and that he was sorry.
