JCIO 10/21
Date: 27 April 2021
A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Lord Chief Justice has, with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, issued District Judge Najma Mian with formal advice after she was criticised in an appeal judgment for showing anger and sarcasm during a court hearing. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration that the judge was unwell at the time, that her behaviour was out of character, and that she had apologised.
