JCIO 12/21
Date: 12 May 2021
A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Lord Chancellor and the Senior President of Tribunals, acting on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice, have issued District Tribunal Judge James Thomas with formal advice after he inadvertently committed a data breach. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration the limited nature and duration of the breach, that no damage had been caused by it, and that the judge had accepted responsibility for his actions and apologised.
