A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
Mr Justice Keehan, on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, has issued Declan Curran JP, of the Lincolnshire bench, with a formal warning for misusing his judicial status when making an application in private court proceedings. Mr Curran also failed to notify his bench chair of his involvement in the proceedings which was in breach of the ‘declaration and undertaking’ signed by all magistrates on appointment.
