STATEMENT FROM THE JUDICIAL CONDUCT

INVESTIGATIONS OFFICE

Natalie Chew JP

A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:

The Lord Chancellor, with the Lord Chief Justice’s agreement, has removed Natalie Chew JP from the magistracy for failing, without a reasonable excuse, to meet the minimum sittings requirement of her role. In making their decision, they took into account that Mrs Chew had failed to respond to numerous attempts to contact her.
