A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb DBE, on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, has issued Ramesh Farmah JP of the Coventry and Warwickshire bench, with formal advice for failing to inform his bench chair of his involvement in civil proceedings. He also wore his magistrates ID badge at a time when it could be seen as an attempt to gain favour.
