STATEMENT FROM THE JUDICIAL CONDUCT

INVESTIGATIONS OFFICE

Judge Rachel Williams

A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office Said:

The Lord Chancellor and the Senior President of Tribunals, acting on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice, have issued Judge Rachel Williams, of the Health Education and Social Care Chamber, with formal advice for issuing late decisions in a number of cases. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration that Judge Williams had accepted responsibility for her actions and resigned from the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Tribunal, the jurisdiction in which the delays had occurred.
