A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Lord Chancellor and Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb DBE, on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice, have issued Michael Simon JP with a formal warning following a complaint that he had behaved rudely to a solicitor during a hearing. In reaching their decision, they concluded that Mr Simon’s behaviour had fallen below the high standards expected of a judicial office holder.
